my home: kitty edition

I've finally finished unpacking my apartment and getting things the way I like them! Its taken me about 8 months to do it but since I had mono I was out of commission for 2 months. Yuck! Lately I've been thinking about something cute to spice up the area where we keep our cat's, Princess Emilie or Emilie for short, little condo tree. Our neighbors were so awesome and bought it for us for Christmas since we spent about $700 having her shipped here to Germany in November.

The more I look at cute room designs the more I am falling in love with the idea of a garland or banner to hang above it. My husband, Levin, loves the idea and is encouraging me to go buy one! The only issue is, I'm suck on what exactly I want it to look like.

I've had a few ideas that revolve around the whole Princess theme because she is so spoiled! I mean she has a bed on my husbands dresser, her own chair, a cat house, and more than enough attention. I know you guys are probably laughing at the 22 year old cat lady right now but I love her to death! Here is what I kind of had in mind, but maybe with a princess theme:

weekly wishlist: iphone edition

My husband recently informed me that I will be getting an iPhone 3gs from our friend that is moving to Japan in a few weeks. I'm a little too excited about the phone but not at the cost of our friend moving away. He was had his iPhone for at least 6 months and its in amazing condition. What can I say, the guy takes care of all of his belongings. Ever since the news of getting a new case I have been going crazy with looking for cute cases.

I've known about Japanese deco for a few years now since I have this odd obsession with Japanese culture. Since my discovery of tumblr I've come across some really amazing webstores that sell handmade items. And this baby is one of them! Now this really isn't a wishlist item perse because I've already purchased my own deco case from Jolie Petite Deco. The owner, Danielle, is a super sweet girl from England that has been making her own deco cases for about a year (give or take a few months) now. I've been drooling over her cases for ever and now I will finally have one... eventually. I just have to be patient and wait for her to make it and ship it out to me! If you are in the market for a deco phone case then I highly suggest checking her store out!

Enough of the sugary sweet OTT cases! I've also been admiring some rather cute simplistic looking cases. These above are from Iconemesis that I found out about from Puglypixel. I'm absolutely in love with Fifi Lapin (left case) and how could I not love the kitties on the case on the right? I might have to break down and buy some of these after I become tired of my deco phone case!

Well thats it for now! I'm sorry that my posts are few and far between. Levin's father passed and we have been on a strict schedule since it happened. I know excuses are stupid but I do apologize to those of you that enjoy reading my little posts. I'm going to try my best to keep my mind positive and start posting again!

So I apologize for the unexpected break that I've taken. Things have been hectic since I arrived here in America. We found out that my father in law has aggressive brain and bone cancer. Because of this, Levin had to take emergency leave to come home to visit his father. I've been doing my best to be there for him because I know that he needs me right now. Everything is fine at the moment. Well, as fine as it can possibly be.

I'm sure that you've all been wondering what I've been up to since I left Germany.... I've gone Monster High crazy. I was slightly into them before coming to visit America but now I'm obsessed with them. I've bought about 12 total... I know I've lost it.

Pokémart Surprise ♡

A few weeks ago before I left to go to Rome I noticed that Lani had posted on tumblr that she was selling her Pokemart stickers, magnets, and keychains again. I'm a huge Pokemon fan and have been since I was 9 years old so I had to buy some! They were also to a very good cause, to help Lani with money for studying abroad in England! They were a very good price and shipping wasn't pricey either. Can't beat that~

After ordering Lani gave me her paypal address so I could send a payment and my stickers were shipped out the next day. I paid for the stickers on the 4th, they were shipped to me on the 5th, and arrived on the 16th! Thats actually perfect shipping time for something coming from Canada to an American APO box in Europe.  Note: I know my shipping times will be a little different than if you live in America or use a normal German address

bathing suit lust

Its still a bit chilly here in Germany but next week I will be visiting home (America) for two weeks. My family have all told me that its about in the 80's almost. This means that its prime time for a new bathing suit! Being on the low end of plus sized makes it difficult for me to find the right bathing suit at times. This year I decided that I'm going to invest in a pricier one than usual, which also means that I can get a pinup one that I've been dying for.

After finding these cuties the hunt has begun to find something to call my own before my husband and friends decide to hit the beach this summer in Europe. There is something super dreamy about lounging around on a beach in Europe for an entire day. Mind you, I'm not really a hot weather person. I'm a total snow baby. I love the cold and enjoy being cold as well... which is why I love Germany so much.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I find something that has time to ship to me while I'm home visiting! What are your favorite types of bathing suits?
